Ar. Abhas Verma
An architect and urban planner from the Pink City - Jaipur famous for its city planning and architectural heritage, Abhas Verma has his family roots attached to architecture. The city and his family drove his interest towards traditional architecture and city planning. He completed his Bachelor’s in Architecture from MNIT Jaipur (Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur) in 2013 and was awarded the gold medal for being the topper of the batch. After qualifying GATE, he pursued Master in Urban Planning from SPA-D (School of Planning and Design, New Delhi), where he traveled to different cities, absorbing their architectural character and urban fabric. After completing his Masters, he has been associated with Manipal University Jaipur as an assistant
Abhas has worked alongside Ar. Ravi Gupta and Ar. Shyam Thakkar on a resort and a 5-star hotel respectively. During his training with Ar. Kamalmangaldas, Ahmedabad he learnt an important lesson that buildings are to be designed for the user and not for the observer. Alongside his studies and later, Abhas has been involved with his grandfather, Ar. B S Varma in many architectural projects
that include temple complexes, Havelis, Guest houses and residences.
Abhas is a keen learner and a hard worker who strives to give his best in any part or role. When not working Abhas likes to play chess, badminton and watch movies.
